Senior High Fun! November 19-25, 2015 Newsletter #14
Here is another picture to make you

Hungry: this time the Home Ec
class was making Polish pierogi:
dumplings filled with cheese. This
was continuing their study of foods
and cultures of other countries.
The Senior High all went to Islamabad
for activities on the weekend. They participated in a volleyball tournament with ISOI. The boys came in 1st and the girls took 1st and 2nd with their 2 teams. They had a really fun time. The girls stayed at the guest house and the boys were at a parents’ house.
Thanks Uncle Hans and Aunty Ulrike for organizing this special time!

Since the boys had left school earlier than the girls, there was time to prank the boys’ floor. Using yarn, they ‘spider webbed’ their hallway and used plastic wrap to seal up their showers and toilets!
In our Chapel time, representatives from Forman Christian College in Lahore visited and gave students an idea of what the college offers. Started in 1864, it is now a chartered university offering 4 year degrees in areas such as computing, business, biotechnology, etc. All courses are taught in English and students are given a wholistic education, teaching them to think critically, be good citizens and become lifelong learners. It accepts students of all religions, but does have a weekly chapel and an active Christian student organization. The President is Dr. James Tebbe, a former MCS student!
We had Dave Newmarch as our guest speaker for church. He reminded us of the miraculous story of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. They could do nothing but watch God work, just as we can do nothing to save ourselves from our sins. Praise God for Jesus’ sacrifice for us!

Here’s an interesting fact about our Finance Manager, Simon, that you may not know: he takes his German Shepherds to dog shows! Last weekend his dog came in a very good 3rd place. The judge said she has a good chance of getting 1st next time!
*Alumni News*
It was nice to see Rebecca Carpenter (Class of 2011) as she was visiting here this weekend along with her parents. She is taking time off from college, job-shadowing and assisting at Shikarpur Hospital. When she returns to her studies she will also be preparing to apply to medical school.
From Deb Rupe, former long-time house parent: We had a wonderful time with folks in Toronto...you can see pics on face book. We saw around 50 with an MCS connection. What a privilege it has been to be a part of MCS and it’s beyond my joy to be part of His Life there and in me!
We also heard of the news of her mother’s failing health so prayers are appreciated.
Praise and Prayer Requests:
Praise for so many things here to be thankful for: food, health, warmth,
safety, friends, family, learning and times of fun!
Pray for Seniors as they apply to universities and consider what God would
have them do next. Several have already received acceptance letters!
Pray for Nancy Stewart as she continues with chemo treatments Dec 1.
Pray for our staff needs for next year: especially Girls’ Boarding, Principal,
Nurse, and Math, History and English teachers. You will find an updated flyer on our website that you can post in your church or send to those interested.
