Snow and Celebrations! December 10-17, 2015 Newsletter #17
We’ve already had our first snow of the season! We woke up last Friday to about 5 inches of snow. The white powder reveals interesting patterns and gives everyday scenes a new beauty. For some, this was their first time in snow!
Our school choir had the opportunity to go to the Serena Hotel in Islamabad to sing Christmas carols. About 15 students went and sang in the lobby along with another group.
Music and fun continued at our annual Christmas party!
Costumes, a wonderful dinner, and games kept everyone busy!
All the students took part in Chapel last week. Each home room was given a Christmas tradition and they explained how it originated. So we learned about the advent wreath, carols, the Christmas tree, the advent calendar, and an Australian Christmas.
Some students and staff attended children’s Christmas programs at St. Deny's and Presentation Convent schools. St. Margaret’s group came here to sing carols.
On Sunday we all attended a service and dinner at Camp Mubarak. This camp serves over 3000 people a year for many different kinds of camps. Mr. Ashkenaz spoke about the shepherds.
We had an extra Chapel this week so a humorous skit was performed with Benjamin playing God and Mr. Lehmann playing the angel Gabriel.
It was nice to see many of the Lanz family visit MCS as the children have all come from Germany to be together over the break!
Thank you all for your prayers and support so far this year!
Praise our loving Lord for all of His goodness to us!
Pray for safe travel, joyous Christmas celebrations and a good break for all!
Wishing you all a very blessed Christmas time wherever you are in the world!
