A Special Banquet! May 12-22, 2016 Newsletter #31

Here is a brief summary of the last 10 days, and I’ll tell about the current week’s events in a few days in my final newsletter for the year.
On the weekend the Senior High went on their campout at Khaira Gali.
Some chose to study instead of going on the hike.

But all could enjoy the food around the campfire!

Mr. Heger spoke to us in Church about the love of God revealed to us from Genesis to Revelation!
The last chapel of the year is a time when we hear from those who are leaving and have a chance to pray for them. We have seniors planning to attend universities in Canada, USA, Germany, England and Korea – some will take a year to do a GAP program or work. Two other students, Juhwan and Paul will be leaving for the USA and Korea. Six staff will be leaving and Miss Warwick will take a well-earned furlough for a year.
Then, since all of their exams were finally over, the Senior High could really start celebrating! Last Saturday, the 24 students and some staff spent the day relaxing and having fun. The day started with breakfast, and continued in Islamabad with activities like bowling, laser tag and a movie. A very nice buffet dinner was enjoyed at the ‘Cinnamon’ restaurant, along with a silly skit and gifts for the seniors.

Thanks to the Grade 11 class for a good job of planning and a fun day!
Mrs. Raiter, Jonas, Minha, Micha, Haeyoung, Jodie, Benjamin, Subin, Mr. Raiter and JuHee.

The Grade 10 class will have this responsibility next year! - Aman, Sieun, JoonHee, Aunty Chris, JuYoung, Priscilla, DongHyuk and Rohan.

Sunday’s Baccalaureate service was a time of worship, praise and encouragement for the graduates and the rest of us as well. Mr. Lanz used various illustrations to describe how God takes our burden of sin, comes alongside us and helps us if we submit to His yoke. The parents of the graduates had a special time of prayer for each of them.

Lucy Palmer (Teacher 2007-10) announces that she’s getting married to Stephen, a godly young man, in July in Australia!

Mr. Albert writes: We are pleased to inform you that Shawn has graduated from high school. He graduated, along with 500 of his other classmates, on the 21st of May. We are all very pleased with him and his performance this year. Even though, he has finished high school from here, we owe our gratitude and thanks to Murree Christian School for enabling our child to reach this stage in his life, and we are very thankful to the Lord for the teachers of MCS for preparing Shawn for this time and the time that is yet to come beyond high school. We hope everything goes well in this last week of school.
